Green Apple Pachadi

Ingredients:
Green Apple-1
Grated Coconut- 5 tbsp
Shallots- 3
Plain yogurt- 1/4 cup
Mustard- 1/4 tsp
Cumin-1/2 tsp
Ginger- A small piece
Green chilli-1
Water-1/4 cup
Salt- To taste
For Seasoning:
Oil-2 tbsp
Mustard-1/2 tsp
Dry red chilly/pepper-1 or 2
Curry leaves- A few
Method: Wash the apple, peel its skin, and cut into small pieces. Cook the apple with little water and a few chopped shallots. Do not add more water since water from the apple will ooze out. Grind 1/2 tsp mustard seeds and cumin seeds in a small grinder and add to the apple. Grind 5 tbsp grated coconut with small piece ginger and one green chiller in a grinder. Make a smooth paste with little water and cook for 3-4 mins and switch off the flame. Take 1/2 cup yogurt and mix it well with a fork. Allow the apple mixture to cool, and add the yogurt to the mixture and mix well. Add 2 tbsp oil in pan and let the mustard splutter followed by dry red chilly and curry leaves. Serve with rice.
