Gobhi Keema/Cauliflower with Minced Meat

Ingredients

  • Mustard Oil - 4 tbsp and for frying Gobhi

  • Gobhi / Cauliflower - 1 small head ( Cut into small florets )

  • Onion - 2 cups ( Chopped )

  • Ginger - 1 inch piece ( Grated )

  • Garlic - 10-12 cloves ( Crushed )

  • Green chili - 3-4 ( Slit into halves )

  • Tomato - 1 cup ( Chopped )

  • Turmeric powder - 1 tsp

  • Salt to taste

  • Keema / Mutton mince - 500 g

  • Lemon juice - 2 tsp

  • Fresh coriander for garnishing

To roast until slightly browned and grind into coarse powder

  • Coriander seeds - 2 tbsp

  • Dry Kashmiri red chili - 5-6

  • Cumin seeds - 1 tsp

  • Fennel seeds - 1 tsp

  • Black peppercorns - 6-8

  • Clove - 5-6

  • Cinnamon - 1 inch piece

  • Black cardamom - 2

Method: Heat mustard oil in a pan. Deep fry the gobhi florets until browned. Drain and keep aside. Heat oil in a pan. Add onion and fry till pink in clot. Add ginger and garlic and fry till onions are golden brown. Add green chili, salt and ground masala and fry for a few seconds. Add keema and fry on high heat for 3-4 minutes. Add tomato and a cup of water and cover and cook on low heat until keema is cooked. Add fried cauliflower, lemon juice and coriander and cook for 3-4 minutes.Serve hot with phulke or Naan.
