Ingredients:

Sardines: 4-5 fishes cut into small pieces

Red Dry Chilly: 10 to 12

Shallots: 50 gram

Salt: To taste

Tamarind juice: Gooseberry sized

Oil: 2 tablespoon

Water: 1/4 cup

Curry leaves: For granish

Mustard seeds: Few

Method: Blend red chillies, shallots, and salt without water and make it to a paste form. Heat pan and add oil. Once the oil is heated, add mustard seeds and let it splutter. Add curry leaves, followed by mashed spice paste. Saute for 2-5 minutes. Add tamarind water and plain water. Mix well. When boiled, add the fish pieces one by one, and make sure each piece is dipped in gravy. Cover and cook for 15-20 minutes. Add salt if needed. Cook until the gravy is thickened. Sprinkle some oil and garnish with more curry leaves. Serve with rice or tapioca!
