Ari Vada Recipe / Deep Fried Savory Rice flour Fritters

Ingredients:

Rice flour (roasted) -1 cup

Grated coconut – ½ cup

Onion - 1, finely chopped

Ginger – 1 tsp, finely chopped

Green chillies – 2-3, finely chopped (adjust according to your tolerance level)

Curry leaves – few

Salt to taste

Boiling water- ¾ cup or as needed

Oil for deep frying

Method: In a bowl, mix rice flour with all the ingredients except water and mix well with a spoon. To this, add boiling water and mix well with a spoon. When cool enough to handle, knead the dough to a smooth and soft dough. Heat oil to deep fry. Wet your palm and take small amount of dough and make a lime size ball, gently flatten it with your wet fingers and make a hole in the middle. Deep fry these shaped dough in medium heat oil until light golden brown on both sides. Serve hot with ketchup and hot coffee or tea.
